MapleStory Monsters Introdcution
Part 1
MapleStory Monsters can be your worst enemy but are needed to gain experience and/or mesos and items. The more Monsters you are able to defeat the faster you can level up, but defeating Monsters is not always a simple process, especially when you go up against the boss monsters which are the hardest to beat because of their special privileges.
A Maple Story Monster Guide will get you familiarized with the Monsters’ strengths and weaknesses and you can use that to your advantage when attacking. The MapleStory Monster Guides also teach you about Monster attack skills which will make you a lot more successful in battle once you are more familiar with the monsters and their capabilities.
With the help of a Maple Story Monster Guide you’ll be amazed at how much more skillful and efficient you are at defeating them. If you want to start stocking up on mesos, items and gain a lot more experience then click on the sight below. They can provide you with the best and most effective Maple Story Monster Guides available to help you defeat all the monsters effortlessly!
Here are the Video for Level 1-15 Monsters Guide
Part 2
The adventure of a player as he goes through the different levels of the game is made more exciting and challenging as he does battle with monsters which abound each and every screen. Killing monsters will give the player the necessary experience, mesos and items which he may use during the course of his journey. Each experience gained is automatically added to the player’s total experience, whereas the mesos and items are dropped at the location where the monsters are killed and will have to be picked up by the player. Items dropped by the monsters upon their deaths are monster leftovers (a piece of the monster), ores, equipment, quest items and usable drops. Stronger monsters (those on a higher level) give more experience points when killed and they drop larger amounts of mesos. They also tend to leave behind more sellable and usable items.
The monsters inhabiting the beginner island, Maple Island, are known for being suited best to characters which belong to levels below 10. In Victoria Island, monsters are pitted against those players who have reached levels higher than 10. Stronger monsters can be found in Ossyria, making it a prime location for high-leveled characters to train.
Strengths and Weaknesses
All monsters have a defense rating that is used to counter both the physical and magical attacks. For instance, a "Sentinel" is substantially armored compared to other monsters in its level range. It has a better defense against weapon attacks which then makes it hard for most characters near its level to launch a sufficient attack. Magicians, on the other hand, are less adept at killing monsters which employ magic defense including "Luster Pixies", who enjoy lesser vulnerability against magical attacks. Other monsters have elemental strengths and weaknesses that make them, more or less, defenseless against certain elemental attacks. A case in point is the "Fire Boar", who is weak against ice-elemental attacks, yet strong against fire-elemental attacks.
Monster skills
Some monsters use certain skills on characters for a particular range attack. These may include: Sealing, which locks the players' skills so that they will be barred from using them; Darkness, decreases accuracy of the players; Weakness, which disables the players’ jumping ability; and Curse, which halves the experience points of the players. There are, however, ways of countering these. One is by the use of potions while another is by employing the skills of a priest to dispel these effects.
Some monsters also have skills to increase or improve their own attributes or those of the other monsters’ around them. For example, "Stone Golems" and "Lunar Pixies" can increase their weapon defense while “Fairies" can temporarily increase the defense of their fellow monster.
Boss Monsters
Many boss monsters can be found throughout the MapleStory world. Each is located in its own respective map and usually at the end of a very long road or hidden map. Boss monsters spawn less frequently than normal monsters. A "Mushmom" spawns every forty minutes to 1 hour. Even though it is the third weakest among the bosses, Mushmom is very much hard to fight and it is only those players in the level forty and above who attempt to kill it. Other bosses are the “Jr. Balrog”, which can be seen at the very end of the Sleepywood Dungeon; “Papulatus”, also known as the “Clockboss”, can be found at the end of Ludibrium Clock Tower; The "Rombot", also called "Lombard", is the second weakest of all of the bosses and spawns once in every hour.
(IMAGE: MONSTERS>"ZAKUM")"Zakum" is a boss monster found only in a level fifty and above. It has among its arsenal, the ability to attack with ice, fire, lightning, HP and MP drainage. It can also attack using poison-based weapons. Being a boss, it can summon other monsters as well. It has eight arms, each having a life of its own. As such, players must kill the arms first before attacking its main body. The main body has three forms and it increases in difficulty as you kill each form. Also, each arm is capable of healing all its other parts. Killing bosses may be more difficult, but the gains are greater. Bosses usually drop enormous rewards, such as mushmom spores, zakum helmets and various level 80+ items.
The newest and most recently added bosses to the Global version of the game, which came with the release of Omega Sector, are the "Chief Gray", and the "MT-09".

Maplestory Sniper / Marksman Guide
The purpose of this guide is to inform aspiring Snipers and Marksman about how to raise their characters, how they should train, what they should watch out for, and most importantly, what makes them worthwhile. This guide is specifically tailored for maplers who have raised their crossbowman close to lvl 70 and are looking for information as to what lie ahead.
To put it simply, use this guide for details on snipers and marksman, and refer to other hiddenstreet.net guides for more details regarding archers and crossbowman.
I'm going to say this right now...Don't make a crossbowman unless you are plan to
bring it to 3rd or 4th job. Crossbowman just don't have the attack speed or arrow bombing capabilities that hunters do. If you aren't going to beyond lvl 55, pick hunter over crossbowman.
2. Why Sniper/Marksman?
Pros
" High damage range stabilizes/strengthens immensely with 4th job
" Voted 4th-highest damage-dealing class behind NL/DKs/CBs with ME(May have changed slightly since the appearance of 4th job)
" Ability to freeze most enemies 100% of the time (Rangers have only 60% stun rate)
" Marksman's 4th job bird is useful for training (Bowmaster's 4th job bird is only for show)
" Amazing party buff attainable at 4th job (Sharp Eyes)
" Powerful long/short distance attacks in 3rd and 4th job
" Best anti-ksing class in the game
" Adorable the way they hug their crossbows <3>>123 skill points to distribute

147-156 << Choose another recommended skill and max it out
157-166 << Choose another recommended skill and max it out
166+ << whatever other 4th job skill you want
5. Detailed Info on How Sniper and Marksman Skills Work
Blizzard
" Lvl 1-10 provide one second freeze with varying damage
" Lvl 11-20 provide 2 second freeze with varying damage
" Lvl 21 provides 3 second freee
" Lvl 22+ universally considered not skill-point efficient
Strafe
" Main damage-dealing attack all throughout 3rd and 4th job
" Max this out as soon as possible to completely replace double shot
Arrow Eruption
" Attacks up to six monsters at a time
" Maximum area which Arrow Eruption affects increases in radius at lvls 1, 11, and 21
" First bowman attack which can attack monsters point-blank
" Has more vertical range (Ranger's Arrow Rain has more horizontal Range)
" Useful all throughout 3rd and 4th job
" Needed to make goby-training reliable (Aqua Road)
Puppet
" Attack desired monster(s) first before summoning in order for it's effect to kick in
" Provoked monsters will try to attack the Puppet instead of you
" Makes it possible to solo some bosses like Thanatos, Griffey, etc if used skillfully
" Doesn't require a summoning rock to summon
" Needed to make squid-training reliable (Aqua Road)
Golden Eagle
" Stun rate, attack rate, and damage range all increase as more points are added to it
" Requires one summoning rock to use and lasts 3 min
" The more points you add to it, the less 'bang' you get from each skill point
" Leave at 25 pts instead of maxing because 97% stun rate is enough
" Need at least 15 pts in it in order to put point in 4th job bird (Frostprey)
" Needed to make newt-training reliable (Leafre)
Mortal Blow
" Main benefit is to attack monsters from point blank range
" Adding points to Mortal Blow increases success rate of point-blank atk, damage of point-blank atk, and possibility of one-shotting a monster that's at half health or less
" Max out for training/situational convenience later on down the road
Thrust
" First 10 points add 2 pts of permanent speed, while next 10 points add 1 pt of speed
" I chose to add 7 pts of Thrust to comfortably replace my Icarus Cape(2) for a Pink Adventurer Cape and to replace my 60% shoe speed scrolling with 60% shoe jump scrolling
" Don't add more than 10 pts to this skill
Frostprey
" One of the most useful one-point skills in the game
" The main reason why you would would choose Marksman over Bowmaster (besides Snipe)
" 1 point of Frostprey completely replaces 30 points of Golden Eagle AND eliminates the need to purchase summoning rocks
" Bowmasters still are stuck with their 3rd job bird because their 4th job bird can't freeze or stun enemies at all (only fo' sho')
" Universally agreed that 1 point of Frostprey should be added at lvl 120 NO EXCEPTIONS
Marksman Boost
" Increases xbow mastery by 5% every five lvls
" Adds 1 point of permanent weapon atk to every three lvls
" Try to max this skill asap because the damage increase for every 3-5 lvls is incredible
Sharp Eyes
" The only bowman-only party buff in the game; also one of the best
" Increases the critical rate and critical rate's damage of all party members, regardless of job
" You can make any job do criticals with this skill, even mages
" Hermits/Night Lord/bowmen benefit the most from this skill because Sharp Eyes adds on to their critical rate chance
" Max this skill out early if you train in a party a lot, otherwise max out Marksman Boost first
Dragon Breath / Piercing Arrow
" Both are mob skills which attacks mobs in front of your character
" No Marksmen I know use it to train, so I don't know how good they are
" Sniping Arrow is slower than Dragon Breath but does more damage
" Dragon Breath knocks enemies back a great distance, which makes it a good combo with Puppet
" Personally, I feel Dragon Breath is functionally more useful than Sniping Arrow (damage with knockback), but Sniping Arrow's 850% damage to up to 4 monsters, which is a heck of a lot more damage compared to Dragon Breath's 100% damage to up to 6 monsters
" Max out Sniping Arrow before Dragon Breath if you need to do more mob damage and if maintaining a distance between you and your monsters is not a big issue
Snipe
" 1HKOs non-boss monsters every 5 minutes unless you max it out, in which case it would be 1HKO non-boss monsters every 15 seconds
" Deals 99,999 damage to boss monsters
" Marksmen-unique skill which no marksman I know has utilized thus far
6. How to Train Efficiently
Training Spots (I will only mention the best ones)
Squids (Aqua Road - Dangerous Sea Gorge II)
Recommended Skills: At least 1 pts Blizzard, 5 pts Puppet, and 30 pts Strafe
Recommended Lvls: Lvl 83-95
Why Train Here
1. Fast experience once you get the hang of it
2. Water provides extra maneuverability/speed to your sniper
3. Beautiful environment to train in
How to Train
1. Blizzard desired squid(s)
2. Summon Puppet in out of reach area
3. Kill them one-by-one with Strafe
4. Repeat across entire map
Things to watch out for
1. Squids can 2-hit kill you so be careful
2. Bombing Fish Houses can one-shot kill you if you provoke it while standing within its magic radius
3. Very popular training spot now
Goby (Aqua road - Deep Sea Gorge II)
Recommended Skills: At least 11 pts Blizzard, 30 pts Strafe, 21+ pts AE
Recommended Lvls: Lvl 93-105, maybe past lvl 105 I'm not sure
Why Train Here
1. Crazy insane OMFG exp (one goby house = 6 goby = 8400 exp total)
2. Great meso-making because your are killing 6 monsters at once (the equips gobies drop npc for a lot)
3. Beautiful environment to train in
How to Train
1. Clear out all the Bone Fish swimming around a Goby House by alternating between 1 Blizzard and 2-3 strafes
2. Once Goby House is isolated, break it open with 5-7 strafes (if it takes more shots than this, you wait until you're stronger)
3. Blizzard the 6 gobies the instant they appear
4. Come close to the gobies and Arrow Eruption them to death with 5-7 AEs
5. Swim somewhere else and repeat
Things to watch out for
1. Don't goby if there is someone else already in the map because for some reason, gobies fly off randomly instead of chasing you if someone else is there, making it impossible to contain them all with Blizzard and thus slowing down training immensely
2. Goby Houses have high magic attack, so keep a distance from them at all times because even if you freeze them, you never know if a bone fish will spawn on top of you and distract you long enough for you to be finished off by already provoked Goby House
3. If you add points to Golden Eagle early, don't summon them here. The last thing you want is for a Goby House or Bone Fish to be provoked before you are ready to take them on
Jr. Newties on Middle Platform (Leafre - Destroyed Dragons Nest)
Recommended Skills: Lvl 20+ Golden Eagle, 30 pts Strafe, 21 Pts Blizzard
Middle Platform Recommended Lvls: Lvl 107-131
Why Train Here
1. Amazing Experience if you have the recommended party (stated below)
2. Just stand and fire Strafe / Blizzard
3. People here are willing to train with you if they need middle attacker
4. Drops Marksman Boost 20
Recommended Party
1. One Holy Symbol Priest hanging on rope spamming Holy Symbol (ESSENTIAL)
2. One 4th job Bowmaster/Marksman in Party with Sharp Eyes or Night Lord with Maple Warrior fighting bottom platform (ESSENTIAL)
3. One Night Lord or 4th job Bowmaster/Marksman fighting top platform (OPTIONAL)
4. Party is better than solo because its way faster experience, less boring, and newts don't atk you before your 3rd job/4th job bird can immobilize them. Plus, party member can increase your damage with party skills like Sharp Eyes and/or Maple Warrior
Recommended Potions for 3-hr training
1. 300 Sorceror Elixirs
2. 300 Popsicles (Jr Newtie does about 1.95-2.1k magic damage per hit)
3. 100 Cheeses (in case you accidently fall off middle platform and survive Transforming Jr. Newtie's 3.2k magic damage)
4. 300 Summoning Rocks (unless you have Frostprey)
5. At least one magic rock if you wish for a priest to door you back
Things to watch out for
1. Getting to this area requires 3-5 min travel time, so be patient and familiarize yourself with Leafre
2. If you can get a Priest to door you over there, that would preferable
3. Steer clear of the Transforming Jr Newties on the bottom and top platforms unless you have over 3.2k hp, they will one-shot kill you with their magic or vines if they're provoked
How to Train
1. Standing on the left, facing right, you will be dealing with the two Newts closest to you
2. The Newtie closest to you will transform once you 'kill' it
3. While the Newtie is transforming, do as much damage to the Newtie behind it as you possibly can with Stafe (you normally take bottom platform if you can kill this 2nd Newtie before the 1st one fully transforms)
4. Once the Transforming Jr. Newtie has completely transformed, freeze it with either Blizzard or Frostprey, then Strafe it to death

MapleStory Equipment Guide
Assassins are a very common class on GMS, and prices for their equipment are inflated. Claws and Scrolls cost upwards of millions of Maplestory Mesos, and the highest attack stars, Crystal Ilbis, can now sell for up to 90 million Mesos. However, due to constant changing economies, prices of stars differ. The price an Assassin pays to have decent equipment is basically offset by their large amounts of speed. With Haste maxed, an Assassin can travel across an entire map quite quickly, killing monsters along the way.

MapleStory Experience for Monsters
Also, players train on Zombies far longer than Jr. Kitties. Jr. Yeti Skins fall in between, more expensive from a higher-level monster, and providing better potions than Solid Horns, but nothing too special. Every exchangeable etc item has a specific scroll type (usually 10%) that has a small chance of being given as a reward for a trade-in.

Maplestory or Runescape?
There has always been the question: maplestory or runescape?
lets start with graphics:
maplestory: the graphics are pretty quirky and 2D, though it has one of the best graphics or a 2D mmorpg, 4/5
runescape: one of the most hated gameplay:
maplestory: pretty fun at 1st but gets tiring to level with the constand grinding and questing. tutorial is seriously annoying as for experienced player who know how to do everything, but now you can skip it! 3/5
runescape: with 24 skills and many interesting monsters, you won’t get tired for so soon! 4/5
weapons and armor:
maplestory: MS has pretty cool armor, looks awesome in the shop but when you actually wear it, some of the low level armor is kind of covered by your characters face. 4/5
runescape: armor is a serious problem as all the good looking armor is for members, and free armor look all the same but different colors, but $5.95 isn’t much..is it? 3/5
communty:
maplestory: experience players are always willing to help, i got 500k once off a lvl 140! there is a report feature and you can’t repeatedly say the same words over 3 times (evidently to stop taunting) but you can swear it it isn’t blocked. 3.5/5
runescape: interestingly, swear words are blocked and there is a report feature experienced players tend to keepto themselves and sometimes taunt low leveled players. 3.5/5
outcome: maplestory 14.5/20
runescape: 15/20
winner:runescape

Are you ready to shop in style and help a young entertainer's dream come true all while enjoying new dungeons and PQs? Then there are darker tales unfolding. There are stories of a mad traveler in the wilds near Magatia bearing tidings of a terrible future
Check out the details below:
Maple Idol at the Kerning Square Mall!
Dreams really can come true in MapleStory. Take Blake, a humble public service worker at the new Kerning Square Mall in Kerning City. He may not be much now, but he has the talent to become a superstar! Unfortunately there are evil Rock Spirits who are trying to steal Blake's debut song and keep him from his destiny. Blake needs heroes to help prepare the way, battle these evil spirits in a brand new dungeon and make sure the stage is secure for Blake's big debut. Do you have what it takes to create the next big MapleStory superstar?
Fight for the Future in Neo City!
Andy is a madman who has recently been spotted in the wilds near Magatia. They say he tells a horrible story of machine feet trampling over the human race in the future and claims to be looking for brave adventurers to fight for the future of Maple World.
Can we afford to believe this madman? Can we afford not to?
If you'd like to check out the truth of Andy's story, Broker Han in Magatia has the scoop on a time traveler who has come back from the future to recruit Maple World's mightiest heroes. It seems that in Neo City in the year 2503, the human race barely survives by scurrying under the metal feet of killer robots. That dark future doesn't have to pass though. First on my list is:
Maple story
Website:http://maplestory.nexon.net/WZ.ASPX?PART=/MainMy Rating: 4/5
Maplestory is a 2D-side scroll er game. This means that you move up,down and side to side. This game may appeal to gamers who watch anime or read manga due to the cute graphics and since the characters are “chi-bi” looking meaning having a slightly bigger head than their body.Gameplay
The controls for this game is very simple, using the arrow keys and keyboard as shortcuts and using the mouse to click. Classes and skills are very interesting and have many to choose from. Some classes are available are Warrior, Theif, Archer, Mage, Aran, Cygnus Knights and the latest Evan.(This is the North American version [Global]) The leveling system is very simple. You gain Exp ( Experience ) by killing monsters, doing co-operate missions with other online players (Party Quests/ PQ’s) and most obvious doing quests. The level cap right now is levels 1 to 200 and there are 4 current job advancements for each class. There are plenty of areas to discover throughout the continents of Victoria Island and Ossyria.
Second on the list is:Flyff
Website:http://flyff.gpotato.com/My Rating: 3/5
Flyff (Fly For Fun) is like maplestory but is a 3D game instead. This means you can see your character in all dimensions, you can fly, swim etc. It is an intersting game due to the flying system it has. You can buy a board or broom and fly int he sky and fight with monsters and reach some incredible speeds.
GamePlayIt is more complicated to maplestory but all you really have to do when in combat is click and press your skills. There is a PvP system where you head to an arena and request someone and duel and you fight them. You can gain various ranks that show next to your name as you get better. It also contains co-operative missions where you go to a dungeon and defeat the boss.
And lastly on the list is:DragonNest
Website:NoneAlthough this game is not yet out in North America it is surely a game everyone should look out for. It has a great combination of PvP and PvE (Player Versus Environment). It has only started to spread around South Korea where it first started. In 2010 China had released their Open-Beta. And it is suspected to be released somtime at the end of 2010 or start of 2011 for North America. I’ve looked around and watched a few gameplay videos and it seems to be a combination fo Maplestory and World of Warcraft. It is not auto – attack like wow but uses the Maplestory attacking system where you press when you want to attack. The interesting aspect about this game is that your armor has nothing that contributes to dodge rating but you have to move your character to dodge attacks, thus requiring alot more skill than normal games.
Thanks for your reading, hope you can like this article and enjoy playing MMORPG!

Maplestory Gameplay
Maple Story is a free-of-charge, 2D, side-scrolling massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by the South Korean company Wizet. Several versions of the game are available for specific countries or regions, and each is published by various companies such as Wizet and Nexon. Although playing the game is free, character appearances and game play enhancements can be purchased from the "Cash Shop" using real money. Maple Story has a combined total of over 50 million subscriber accounts in all of its versions. Maple Story North America, for player mainly in North America and outside of East Asia, Southeast Asia and Europe, has over three million players in the game, players travel the "Maple World", defeating monsters and developing their characters skills and abilities as is typical in role-playing games. Players can interact with others in many ways, such as through chatting, trading, and playing minigames. Groups of players can band together in parties to hunt monsters and share the rewards. Players can also join a guild to interact more easily with each other .Maplestory is different from other game gold.
Like most MMORPGs, gameplay centers on venturing into dungeons and combatting monsters in real-time. The players combat monsters and complete quests, in the process acquiring in-game currency called "Mesos", experience points (EXP), and various items. Players can kill monsters alone, or they can form a party with up to six total characters. Loot is shared based on relative damage and level of characters in the party, more being awarded to the higher-level members.
MapleStorys 2D scrolling viewpoint more closely resembles a platform game rather than the typical 3D environment or top-down perspective of other games, such as Guild Wars or Mu Online. The controls for the game are executed using the keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is used for many game functions, and much of it can be rearranged to suit users needs. The mouse is mainly used to trigger non-player characters (NPCs) and manipulate items.
This is some simple introduction about the maplestory gameplay, hope you can like it !

Grounds to train for level 30-88+ in Maplestory
Level 35-39: Go Kill Sakura Cellions. They're awesome training. They give out a lot of money too. Ice mages can now go kill Fire Boars with ease, so do so at Burnt Land I or II. They can also go to Sand Castle Playground to train on Flower Fishes if they want. Lightning right now is still too weak for your purposes, so boars are a good source of exp and money for now (use magic claw, not lit!). Lightning mages can also train well on Ratz in Floor 100 of Helios Tower. Standing on a slide allows one to rain down lightning while not getting hit.
If you start with Lightning, you can also keep it at level 15 when you reach level 35 (assuming you put 1 pt in Teleport at level 30), and train on the hamsters on the 99th floor of Helios tower. This will be a lightning wizards' fastest EXP gain until at least level 55, if you work it correctly. (to compare for around level 50, better to kill 4 Retz at 78XP each every 6 seconds, than 1 fire drake at 220 EXP each, and the Retz spawn en-masse at one spot, while larger rarer monsters like Fire Drakes require you to travel...and suffer plenty of damage). Then just work the Retz until you get enough points stored (save at least 9) to raise Lightning to level 24 directly from 15.
This is because the spell doubles in cost from 20 to 40, at spell level 16, making it very hard on your potions. At about lightning level 24, the damage increase should be worth the doubling of MP, but if you're unsure, you can wait until you get 12 skill points. It's also very safe to train at the Retz as you can't get hit unless you are grabbing loot. You can possibly gain 2-3 levels a day at low experience levels this way if you're a hardcore grinder.
If you are careful with your lightning to mob at least 4 Retz per cast, and pick up all the loot and seeds, you should at -least- break even in mesos/potion use, unlike lorangs, which will drain your mesos like water...
Note: Black Ratz are also a good alternative, at 70 EXP per kill and the fact that they are easier to kill then Retz it may be more profitable to kill them instead.
Level 40-49: If you're an ice mage, now would be a good time to move up to Jr Cellions (the red kitties) at Ossyria, and Fire Boar is a solid (but less rewarding) alternative. You can also train on sakura cellions they are very rewarding. They give out a lot of exp and money. Thunder Mages can consider Lorang, can also train on Jr Cellions or Grupin if Lorang costs too much money. You're going to lose money on pots wherever you go anyway, unless you work the hamsters, so why not lose them on monsters that give good exp and decent drops? Party with cleric at Hot Sands occasionally if you're feeling bored.
Note: for lightning mages, 78 EXP Retz are much faster EXP than the lorangs, as they spawn in mobs, and travel time is reduced to near nothing. It's strongly advised to continue working the Retz unless you are really bored. If your ice is maxed, and you're a hybrid, but poor, don't train at Retz; go kill fire boars or Jr Kitties for safe, fast loot until you get enough mesos to have a good stock of potions. Unless you are more concerned with getting rich (item drops) as opposed to leveling fast, Retz mobbing is -highly- recommended, and thus Hybrids/lit mages will have a big advantage over those who don't raise Lightning until after meditation.
If you started with Ice and are hybridizing, continue training on fire boars and Jr. Kitties until you raise lightning to level 15 at around experience level 45. (Assuming you are becoming a hybrid). Then use the same advice as above, for the Retz in Helios tower. Being a hybrid is STRONGLY advised, as working the Retz will let you level as fast, or faster, than any other class for now. (Yes, that includes bandits).
Time to go to Monster Carnival! There's more information about Monster Carnival in the Party Quests section. Monster carnival is great training for Level 40~50 (but you can enter when you're Level 30)
Think: 30000exp in 10 minutes! But that is only if you win and you get rank A. If you're a lit mage, you can do Retz too, because you aren't much help in carnival(for the person who keeps changing this, stop changing it!!!) when you've only got lightning bolt.
Maple coins are wanted, they are found rarely by monsters in the carnival party quest. You can get an Arc Staff (Level 45 staff){20 coins}, Cromi (Level 48 wand){20 coins}, or even the famous Speigelmann's necklace!(gives +1 STR, +1 DEX, +1 INT, and +1 LUK){50 coins} from Spiegelmann.
Note: Robos are really annoying, because they are strong against ice. Tell some other people like bandits to kill robos. If you just don't want to see them, try going into room 1 or 2. You will not see them unless someone summons them.
Level 50-59: If you have both Ice and Lit, Hot Sands is a very good choice. With only Ice, Red Drake should now be what you're training on (you can also go for Cellions and Lioners if Red Drakes hurt too much), while with only lit, Retz are still your best bet right now, even though you're earning less than 0.01% exp per kill, mobbing them should let you level every 6-8 hours until you reach level 55. Move to hot sands if you're going for Ice after med, when you have level 15 ice. With the new lands coming out, Platoon Chronos in The Road of Time is also a good choice. Many still recommend Lorangs, but due to the travel time required (lots of walking), plus the constant damage you will take, Hamsters are your best choice if you want to gain mesos. You should level 3-4x as fast on Retz as you would on Lorangs. Around level 55, you could also consider drakes meal table as a decent training spot. The exp is in general better then Retz, you'll gain 85 + sometimes a 240 exp times 6 a few seconds or 135 times 6 a few seconds. The drops are also noteworthy, as wild cargo's sometimes drop tobi's, and Drakes quite often kumbi's. The only big drawback of this place is that it drains meso's. Especially with magic guard on, which is a must since cargo's do around 300 damage. Expect to earn half of what you need for the potions. (For lightning wizards)Try going into the room with the roids and neohuroids in Magatia, known as C-2. It has a lot of monsters, and you can mob them to the edge of the map where there is a safe spot to zap them with lightning.
Level 60 -69: Cellions, Lioners, Red Drakes, Hot Sands, Helios Tower, the old spots. You can TRY to train at Buffoons if you like, but that's not generally a good idea. If you're not so obsessed with big damage, electrifying some jr. Yetis may not be a bad idea, as with freezing up some hectors and zombies.
Level 70-75: Same old, same old. Zombies, Hot Sands, Red Drakes. Buffoons might be more practical to hunt right now, but there isn't much change in training. If you're still doing RETZ, you must be a masochist :)
Level 76-83: IS mages can start killing Death Teddies now, since there are some sniping points present where you can hit them without worrying about getting hit. It's not great on your wallet, but it's very fast training. If you need money, Zombies are your friend again. You can also try Buffoons. Comp Mages should just stay at Zombies or Buffoons right now.
Level 83-88: IS mages got some options now. Bains are a pain to get to and there aren't many sniping spots, but they're like Death Teddies with more money, though the map isn't pure Bains and poison geysers are annoying. Death Teddies are as good as always. If you feel bold, you can try Vikings. Comp mages should probably go for Bains now, or Vikings if you're bold.
Level 88+: Vikings are a great target. JMSers could probably go for Bains in Weapon Storage (the map after Anego), or try the Kentauruses which give good exp Leafre (though I'm not sure about their spawns).

MapleStory Fighter Guide
Pages have the ability to attack with Fire, Ice, and Lightning. This means that if they find themselves in a situation where they are surrounded by monsters weak to fire they can whip out their fire attacks, they can quickly adapt to the change if the situation changes to ice-weak monsters in Maplestory. Plus, ice charge freezes the enemy for a second or two.
They also have Magic Crash which will allow them cancel out Magic Defense. Spearmen can choose to either stick with one weapon or go hybrid, meaning to master both weapons. It's strongly recommended that you stick with one weapon with the exception of Spearmen.

A Review of The Maplestory Game
Maplestory, first release in Korea has become a international game in America, Japan, Taiwan,China, Malaysia, Brasil, Vietnam, and Europe. This 2D game is free to play and a role playing game. When beginning the game you can choose to be a Adventurer, Cygnus, Aran, or Evan. The adventurer is a original of all the classes of maplestory, it is the warrior class, mage class, thief class, and archer class. When you play any of these classes, you will be able to split into different job branches at different levels. The plot of this game is centered around the Black Magician, who seems to have gone to war with the maple world long time ago. Though he was defeated, he seems to be coming back with allies and monsters of such. With this plot the Cygnus, Aran, and Evan class came out. Each of these classes focus onto the story of this game more with different abilities and skills. The game is all in different versions, with some versions having more content than the other.
Guide For Avoiding Scams in Maplestory
A Simple guide that details how to avoid scams in maplestory so you can keep your hard earned mesos!
1. When buying an item, always put half of the price up, and ask the other person to show the item. If not, then immediately close the trade window. Some scammers like to play with you, and even if you do fall for it, its only half of your mesos. Would you rather lose it all?
2. Do not give your password or PIN out, Period. Ever. I’ve heard people getting hacked by their closest friends and sometimes siblings or family. Its your account. Don’t share that info. If someone finds out your info, change it immediately.
3. Do not buy NX cash. It is 99.99% possibility that it’s a scam, not to mention it’s against the Terms of Service. Buying NX is usually a scam. If you must buy it however, look for a higher leveled player. There going to be more reluctant to scam you since they worked hard to get to that level. Takes Screenshots if necessary.
4. If you’re really paranoid of scams, and is afraid of selling your items, just get a shop, bought with NX cash, from the Cash Shop. Remember to check your values. 9999999 can look like 999999. Thats about 9 mil off!
In fact, if you don’t care about the little benefit in the game. Just play the game, make friends. You know that, in the Maple Story, players can’t PK. WOW!
Here is another tips.
Ok, this tells you how to take a cash shop item and put in a different server to another character. Example, If you play in Bera and also have a character in Scania. you can transfer the item from the guy in bera, to the guy in scania. First, wait until any cash shop item expires from your guy in bera, then unequip any cash shop item that you want to transfer, so it shows it in your inventory. (but don’t enter the cash shop in bera or it wont work!) Then Go to the character in scania and enter the cash shop, it will tell you the item that in Bera expired, and all your cash shop items that weren’t equipped with the guy in Bera will appear in the Cash shop in Scania! this trick also works with pets

Maplestory Thief Introduction
Thieves are a very popular but expensive class. They have their likenesses with archers and warriors. Though probably being the most expensive to handle, they gain the most mesos in the process after magicians. They excel at killing enemies quickly, and thus gain lots of mesos in the process. The downside is that the Thief class demands precision when allocating stats, as they can be screwed up very easily.
There are two types of thieves: Assassins and Bandits. Assassins are quick ranged attackers. They are quite Meso efficient and have good damage potential, but cost much more than bandits. Bandits are quick melee attackers and are quite powerful among the 2nd jobs. They aren't as Meso efficient as Assassins and do not have the benefit of ranged attack but make up for it in much greater raw power (after around level 90, there is no way that any assassin can catch up with Bandits' damage), although dagger scrolls have a potential to cost quite a bit.
Pros
Both bandits and assassins get some cool and useful skills such as Savage Blow, Haste, Assaulter, Triple Throw and Flash Jump.
They have the second highest avoidability and accuracy after archers.
Assassins can take out mobs efficiently with Avenger.
Assassins are extremely mobile and have good range.
Both are good at bossing at 4th job.
"DEXless" assassins can easily hit the highest damage of all classes between levels 20-70.
Because of their damage, Thieves are popular choices in Party Quests.
Cons
Average HP and MP, getting 2-hit-killed by monsters at high levels.
Assassins (especially "DEXless" ones) are comparatively unpopular due to their stereotyped KSing.
Very unstable damage until mastery in 2nd job.
Good stars and armours are extremely expensive. Claw and Dagger ATT scrolls are some of the most expensive in the game.
Equipment
If you are new to MapleStory or starting on a new server, you should consider skipping armor every five or so levels. Thief items are pricey, so save for future armor. Dexless thieves, Hybrid sins, and STR bandits cost more for scrolls, weapon, etc. Becoming one of these as your first character will be challenging to keep up with buying armor and weapons on your own. If you like a challenge, definitely choose one of these paths.Maplestory Dragon Master Evan Class Guide
The new class "Evan" are an elemental "Dragon Trainers" class that fought alongside the Aran to defeat the Black Magician. Evan is the name of the dragon. What we know so far about this new class is that a Dragon will be given to you that evolves as you level up. The dragon does all the attacking for you and evolves as you level up. Thats pretty unique right? Here is the breakdown of the Evan class:
Magicians
Int and Luk are needed for Stats
The skills are created and used by Evan, the dragon
Their max level is 200
It looks like this is another class released to have fought against the black magician along with Aran.
At the planning stages of Dragon Master Evan, Contents Team leader Kang Won Ji said, "the Dragon is fun to manipulate, as well as a variety of skills and a strong property Party buff that provides features such as Evan also be enough to attract the attention of the user himself."
The dragon have '10 masters' or evolve,if you want. You gain new skills when the dragon evolve,Plus you don't need to go throught job advance, has it evolves based on levels.
From some infos somewhere,i heard their magic guard was nerfed No mp eater/mp increase skills too.
They can deal CRITICAL DAMAGE,unlike other mages. You get the critical skill at 6th master(Lvl 60)
They also have all kind of magics, gained throught these multiple master advances.
Masters lvl:
1st Master: lvl 10
2nd Master : level 20
3rd Master : level 30
4th Master : level 40
5th Master : level 50
6th Master : level 60
7th Master : level 80
8th Master : level 100
9th Master : level 120
10th Master : level 160
I hope you are all looking forward to this new class release!
Maple Story Pet Guide
In Maplestory,a pet is not really a live animal. It is a doll brought to life by a nomadic magician in Henesys named Cloy. Cloy sprinkles the Water of Life extracted from Ellinia onto to pet dolls and animates them. Once the Water of Life dries up, an enchanted pet will turn back into a doll. To bring a pet back to life, one needs the Water of Life and a spell from Mar the Fairy
Pets are only available for purchase in the maplestory Cash Shop. There are several pets to choose from such as puppies and kittens and many more will be added shortly.
Do you know how to revive the pet? When the Water of Life runs out, a pet turns back into a doll. To revive it, you need to visit Mar the Fairy at Ellinia. She will ask you to bring her the Water of Life and a Life Scroll to bring your pet back to life. The Water of Life can be purchased at the Cash Shop, and maple story mesos Life Scrolls can be found through Trainer Bartos at the Pet Park.
In the game, pets can loot money and items for their owners, thus limiting the time spent on looting. This is very helpful and for that simple reason, it is worth spending ten dollars every third month on renewing the Water of Life, money pouch and item pouch. With the exception of this, pets give your character more life as you can communicate with it. You do not forget the point of supporting a good free game.
Your pet is kept going by keeping up its fullness. You have the ability to buy simple pet food and feed one whenever fullness becomes low. When you feed your pet its closeness will increase, and with a certain amount of closeness your pet levels. As it levels, it gets more commands and it also gets more obedient when it answers you.
There are certain quests that you can only take with a high level pet that is one very important thing about closeness. If you talk to your pet every once in a while, you should ensure to feed it its levels will increase automatically.
Taking the pet park jumping quest is another way of getting more closeness. Once you have done it a couple of times, it is very easy to complete. You can buy closeness from cash shop, and this is a good option if you have money to spare and little time to train the pet yourself.
You may spend time with your pet. The more you hunt with your pet, the better it is. You may also feed your pet. Pet needs food. A hungry pet is an unhappy pet so you must pay attention to the fullness of your pet. If the fullness of your pet reaches 0, your pet will return to your inventory as a doll. If this happens, "double-click" your pet in the inventory to revive it and maple story mesos feed it quickly.
Pets are not always inclined to listen so you should be patient with them. They can perform many actions that develop with your attention. Pets have been known to speak after some good nurturing.
Pets are good to have because they make faster as you won't have to loot and you get everything that you normally would have passed by.
Maplestory Combat Guide
This guide is which I collected for training your combat level ,hope you can like it!
From level 1-10: Stay in the tutorial program until you reach level 10, if you are going to be a mage stay at level 8, make sure you do all the quests as they are good exp.
From level 11-20: If you are rich you should train on orange mushrooms if you have high enough DEX until level 20. You should be level 20 in no time. If you are poor, train on green slimes and snails and stumps. This may be slow but you wont need nearly as much potions. You should not PQ as this is slow if you get into a party which cannot click in wasting hours of your time.
From level 21-30: Although Kerning City pq might be good exp and rewards, it is not typical to get into a good party which can click in. You should train on octupuses to the west of kerning city in the hidden area. This is decent exp as the respawn rate is fast and also blue slimes spawn here.
From level 31-50: Go to Carnival PQ. The exp here is very good. 30k exp if you win at A level is awesome. In addition, the monsters have decent exp so stay here until level 50. The exp will slow down once you approach 50, but that does not matter that much. Try to find friends so you can get a good party.
From level 51-70: I suggest you do ludibrium PQ until you reach level 70. The rewards are very good and you will end up with many millions of mesos by the time you reach level 70 just by selling your rewards. The exp is also pretty fast ranging from 5k-15k every round. Try to get into a one minute party.
From level 71-100: I suggest you stop PQing now, as they give not a lot of exp now. Start training on level 40-70 monsters in places where spawns are fast. Buy a lot of potions with the mesos you got from level 51-70 and get the best gear you can get with your money.
From level 101-200: There is no fast way to level in this range. All you can do now is grind and try not to get bored. Try to train in parties so you can talk with people. Train on harder monsters as you level and get better and better gear as you level. You can try party questing after level 170 .
Thanks for your reading, hope this guide can help you to train your character combat level higher with less time!
MapleStory Hints & Tips
The best way of gaining experience at the start of Maple Island is by fighting the Shrooms and the Orange Mushrooms, while In Victoria Island, the Slimes and the Stumps.
In improving your accuracy in hitting your enemies, you should raise your DEX if you are a warrior, bowman or a thief. Increase your INT and LUK if you are a magician.
When you are low on Hit Points, find a safe place where you can restore your health back by being stationary for a few seconds. In this way, you can avoid losing 10% of your experience points should you die due to loss of HP. But you are exempted from this if you are still a beginner.
Each time you move up a level, you will receive 5 Ability Points. You can use these to increase your HP, MP, STR, DEX, INT or LUK. It is suggested, however, that you use your Ability Points only for your STR, DEX, INT or LUK since your HP and MP increases automatically as you level up.
Monsters may drop a common item like a snail shell or it may also drop a rare item like an axe. Some even drop two different kinds of ores , a jewel and a mineral ore.
Pick up and store a lot of ores which you may find in the game. These are extremely rare and are needed in upgrading your armor and weapons.
You can check if you are successful in picking up an item or killing an enemy for experience points by looking at the confirmation status found at the bottom right of the screen.
To acquire armor and weapons, there is a requirement of every 5 consecutive levels.
You should not be afraid to undertake quests. They were designed to make the game more fun and exciting. It is through these quests that you can also gain experiences, equipment, items and mesos. Some of the quests are easy for beginners, while others require a significant amount of levels and playing time that come along for the task. Most quests have a requirement of every 5 consecutive levels, which is based in their degree of difficulty.
Power and speed are vital in fighting monsters. Try and see if you can determine the effectiveness of using a particular weapon compared to the others by their intrinsic characteristics. An axe has an Attack Power of 27 but is a slow weapon, while a Saber may have a much lesser Attack Power of 20 but is 2 and ½ times faster. The damage inflicted and hits caused will roughly work out the same over time.
The bowmen, magicians and thieves are capable of long range attacks, but need to keep up with their arrows, throwing stars, and MP, respectively. Warriors, on the other hand, rely mostly on close range attacks. But since they have large HP and attacking levels, they have the capability to fight stronger monsters.
Should you feel that the place you are in is too crowded, you can always switch to a different channel and still remain in the same place.
MapleStory Quests Introduction
Quests are different tasks that players need to perform for NPCs (Non-player characters) in exchange for earning experience points and gaining possible rewards. There are over a hundred possible quests in MapleStory. To do a quest, you first need to find an NPC that that will provide you with one. The requirements for a quest can vary, but it usually involves level, fame, job, and/or items.
Some quests can be done only once, in other words, once completed that quest is over. Others, however, are repeatable. They can be done again even after completing it the first time.
Kinds of Quests
Accompaniments are a special kind of quest where a group or a party of players band together to undertake several challenges. These are sometimes referred to as "Party Quests". Each party quest has its own level limits which all characters in the party must belong to in order to enter the party quest.
Kerning City is where you will find the first party quest. A party of four players, ranging from levels 21 to 30 should advance through five stages in less than thirty minutes by solving puzzles and killing monsters. Upon completion, a prize is given to each participant. Prizes can be ores, equipment, scrolls and potions. Only one group can be inside the party quest at any one time on one channel.
The second party quest is located in Ludibrium. A party of six players, ranging from levels 35 to 50, should advance through nine stages in under one hour by solving puzzles and killing monsters. To aid in passing the stages in the quest, the players specific skills such as Haste, Heal, Dark Sight and Teleport are needed. Prizes include potions, ores, equipment, scrolls and summoning bags.
The Zakum Party Quest (currently not available in SEA version) is for characters belonging to level fifty and above. Multiple parties can enter and complete this quest simultaneously. There will be three stages that need to be completed before battling the boss monster, Zakum. More experience is gained from this party quest compared to the others.
A Jump Quest is a unique type of quest wherein a character starts at one part of a map and employs timed jumps to get from one specific platform to another. The player should avoid enemies and obstacles that can knock him off of the platform. A jump quest, basically, requires accurate timing and steady endurance to successfully complete it. John in Lith Harbor and Shumi in Kerning City both give three jump quests of increasing difficulty, while Sabitrama of Sleepywood gives two quests.

Guides For Making Maplestory Mesos
Maple Story is a massively multi-player online role playing game. The game is free to play but you must purchase certain enhancements using real money. Players can also try to earn Mesos during game play to buy items and other things.
1.Find out about any scams that are popular on Maple Story. This will help you to protect your items and Mesos. Some scams will target newbies and others will target more experienced players.
2.Leave a space in your inventory for items that come to you through random events, defeating monsters and quests.
3.Play often to increase your chance of getting a random event. Random events can give you an item, Mesos or experience. If you get an item, you can sell it for Mesos.
4.Work on advancing in class. The higher your class, the better the items and Mesos awarded to you for defeating monsters and finishing quests.
5.Fight and defeat as many monsters as possible. Monsters will sometimes drop items when they die. Sell these items to gain Mesos. Some monsters will drop Mesos instead of an item when they are defeated.
6.Finish quests. You will earn items that you can sell, Mesos or abilities when you complete a quest.
7.Sell items. You can sell any item that you win if it is of no use to you. You can also scour the site for items that you can buy cheap and sell for a profit.
These are some good ways which I collected for you to making mesos in Maplestory, hope you can like it!

Guides To to Be The Strongest Possible at Level 10 in Maplestory
When you start out dont apply any of the ability points untill you get the first job at level 10. You can add the skill points though. I would recomended using recovery to save from buying potions so you can build up mesos.
saving the points untill level 10 will allow you to have the maximum attack possible at level 10. What ever job you get apply all the saved points to the required stats being str dex int or luk. Also if you have enogh mesos get some weapons because you should level fast now and you will need new weapons to increase attack.
The skill points you're character will need will be highlighted in green. One stat will be required to wield weapons and the other for the characters base attack. Make sure to save some saved ability points for the stat required to weild weapons or you wont beable to use better weapons untill you get the stats high enough.

Kerming Party Quest Guide In Maplestory
This is a pretty easy Party Quest, and gives good rewards for your level.
The First Stage:
Pretty Straight Forward Go Right Till you get To Cleo and talk to her. She ask’s a question and you gotta get the EXACT Number of passes she tells you to get. After that kill the Ligator’s Till You Get enough Passes. Talk to Cleo. Drop your pass so the leader can continue on.
The Second Stage:
Alot Easier then first stage. All you gotta do is find the right rope combination. 1 Person per rope.
The Third Stage:
Still easier then First Stage. All you gotta do is Find the right platforms. 1 Person per platform.
The Fourth Stage:
This stage can get pretty annoying.Climb all the way to the top of the map until you get onto the crates. Same as stage 2 and 3 just with 8 crates (this may take a lot of time).
The Fifth And Final Stage:
Grats On Getting to final stage. Now u gotta make your way to the bottom killing / dodging the monsters. The King Slime (PC) Will be waiting at the bottom. You and your party gotta try and kill it. I recemend atleast getting a mage or Theif atleast because they pwn the Boss. Once u kill the boss get the passes from the monsters and make your way up. When the CLEAR pops up click the NPC and you will get your rewarded and teleported to bonus.
BONUS:
This is just a map with Green mushrooms and horny mushrooms.
Just chill or camp in this stage if you want.
Thanks for your reading, hope you can following this guide and finish the KPQ as quickly as possible!Just enjoy playing Maplestory game very much! Some Tips For Avoid Scams in Maplestory
You know that, in the Maple Story, players can’t PK!
Aanother tip is how to take a cash shop item and put in a different server to another character. Example, If you play in Bera and also have a character in Scania. you can transfer the item from the guy in bera, to the guy in scania. First, wait until any cash shop item expires from your guy in bera, then unequip any cash shop item that you want to transfer, so it shows it in your inventory. (but don’t enter the cash shop in bera or it wont work!) Then Go to the character in scania and enter the cash shop, it will tell you the item that in Bera expired, and all your cash shop items that weren’t equipped with the guy in Bera will appear in the Cash shop in Scania! this trick also works with pets.

Tests For Choosing Maplestory Classes
This is only for the five first jobs. later I will make some separate guides for each of the classes.
But I did separate star-thief and dagger-thief, and gun-pirate and knuckle-pirate because those are totally different classes.
Q=Question, J=Job.
1. Do you prefer range of close-combat
A. Give me range please. (Q4)
B. I’ll fight face-to-face with the monsters. (Q2)
2. Knights or Ninjas?
A. Knights (J1)
B. Ninjas (Q3)
3. Which statement do you like the most?
A. I’ll hit them with all my power. (J7)
B. I’ll strike them to fast to be seen. (J5)
4. do you like to have AoE (Area of Effect) attacks?
A. Of course, then I can hit multiple monsters at once. (J2)
B. I think it’s better to take monsters down one by one. (Q5)
5. I’m a person who likes fighting in party’s?
A. Yes (Q6)
B. I prefer fighting alone (J3)
6. What is your fighting style?A. Spamming the same buffs and attacks over and over again(J4)
B. My whole keyboard is full of attacks I use in combat (J6)
J1 You are a warrior, you want to hit them hard and enjoy’s one-hit K.O.’s more then anyone. For the second job or KoC I’ll make a guide later.
J2 You are a magician, you like to show the enemy’s what you’ve got for flashy skills and want to kill 5 monsters at the same time. More detailed guide will come.
J3 You are a bowman, you sure don’t complain about party’s, but alone is more your style. fighting enemy’s from far away and keep yourself save is not being weak, it’s being smart. More detailed guide will come.
J4 You are a star-thief, you are quicker then lightning and hit faster then anyone can see. you think that hitting 200 per second in 5 attacks is better then 175 in 1. KoC or not guide will come.
J5 You are a dagger-thief, you like to be a ninja, run to your target, hit it, and disappear even before the target died. A good attack is a flashy, Quick and strong attack.
J6 You are a gunner-pirate, on Maple you can’t wield a lot of guns at the same time, but with your wide arsenal of attacks this should be no problem. It doesn’t matter if it is an AoE or a attack on a single monster, death will be around.
J7 You are a knuckle-pirate, you fight with your fists, feet, elbows and everything on your body that can deal damage. You jump right into a pile of monsters and fight them at the same time. And if you are low on HP or MP, you heal by fighting some more.
Thanks for your reading, hope you can choose classes well in Maplestory!
